We’re heading out to western Virginia for the first time this year! With eagerness and joy in our hearts, to say nothing of the anticipation of sweat and recurring lumbago, we’ll tackle another section of this new trail.

We’ll meet at 9:30 A.M. at the fabled Hayfield Family Restaurant; arrive early and enjoy a stack of pancakes, some country ham, and lots of good coffee.

We’ll stay overnight at our customary hostel, just up Route 50 by Gore. ( Map to The Biby)
