4-D. Bridges and Stream Crossings

PATC Policy

The Potomac Appalachian Trail Club will undertake the construction and maintenance of bridges only when such bridging is required to provide the hiker with a safe transit over streams of 20 feet or greater width. Bridges will be sturdily constructed, aesthetically pleasing, and provide safe footing.

The Potomac Appalachian Trail Club will coordinate and secure approval for the construction of all bridges with the partner on non-PATC owned land.
